Copper clad steel (CCS) tracer wire is a solid steel core conductor with a concentrically clad copper coating and insulated with high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE). The copper cladding measures approximately 3% of the conductor diameter and overall conductivity is intended for locating purposes. Kris-Tech manufactures CCS tracer wire in multiple conductor treatments (DSA, SR, HS, EHS) and in 30, 45 or 60 mil HMWPE/HDPE jackets; standard spool lengths include 500 ft and 2500 ft.
