Copper Clad Steel (CCS) Tracer Wire is a solid steel core conductor with a concentrically clad copper coating and insulated with a high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE). The copper cladding measures 3% of the conductor diameter and has a total conductivity of IACS. Manufactured to UL constructions in 30V and 600V, suitable for use at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75°C in wet and dry conditions. Typical uses include locating buried cable or pipe and directional boring where higher tensile strength is beneficial.
