Our 1 in a MIL spotlight recognizes Dave Rink

Our 1 in a MIL spotlight recognizes Dave Rink

Millennium’s Influential Leaders (One in a MIL) inspire people to be their best versions while helping drive the business forward. Their goals include people and results; they create circles of influence and lead by inspiring people around them to improve. They contribute to the overall success of Millennium by the way they carry themselves, support the organization, and overall contribute to our culture. They are caring and curious. They are dependable and passionate. They are one in a Millennium.

Millennium Way: Passionate, Curious, Caring, & Dependable.

In Q2, we focused on our core value of being Caring. To embody caring at Millennium means fostering strong relationships, showing deep empathy, and being incredibly genuine in our interactions. It means listening to understand, actively stepping up to support others, and caring enough to have the difficult, honest conversations that help us grow. Our Q2 winner, Regional Fulfillment Manager Dave Rink, truly sets the standard for this core value through his daily actions.

Dave has consistently put the needs of our team, our warehouses, and our clients first. Whether he is stepping up to cover warehouse gaps, traveling frequently to keep things moving behind the scenes, or quickly correcting shipment issues to protect a client, his dedication is unwavering. He approaches every situation with a long-term relationship view, investing the time and effort necessary to build deep trust across every department. After several years under his belt, Dave still cares as much today as he did the day he started.

His team members highlight his exceptional empathy and approachable nature. He is someone who seeks first to understand, making those around him feel heard, valued, and respected. Yet, his care isn't passive; Dave doesn't shy away from direct, honest feedback because he genuinely wants to see his teammates succeed and improve. As one teammate put it, "Dave is kind, caring, approachable, and very helpful! So much of what he does is behind the scenes but has a huge impact on our business." For his genuine spirit, his relentless willingness to jump in and help, and his incredible impact on our culture, Dave Rink is truly “One in a MIL.”

Let’s Hear What His Manager, Todd Wrobbel, Associate Vice President of Operations, Has to Say:

For more than four years, Dave has been a tremendous asset to Millennium, consistently demonstrating what it means to put people first. Throughout his time with the company, he has built strong partnerships—and genuine friendships—across departments and at every level of the organization. His ability to connect with others, collaborate effectively, and earn the trust of those around him has made a lasting impact on our culture.

Perhaps Dave's greatest contribution is the way he invests in people. His caring attitude, willingness to mentor, and commitment to helping others succeed have played an important role in the growth and development of many of our warehouse team members and peers alike. He leads by example, encourages those around him, and consistently creates an environment where people feel supported and valued.

Dave, thank you for living out our core value of Caring every day. Your dedication to your teammates, your commitment to our organization, and the positive influence you have on those around you truly embody what it means to be "One in a MIL."

    Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

    Get to Know Dave Rink

We checked in with Dave to learn more about his journey at Millennium and to get a closer look at what he’s most passionate about, both in his career and outside of work.

    What brought you to Millennium?

What brought me to Millennium was the people. From my very first interactions, I was impressed by the genuine collaboration, professionalism, and sense of community. It was clear that Millennium is a place where talented individuals support one another, share knowledge, and work together toward common goals. The culture and the people made a lasting impression on me and were the biggest reason I knew this was an organization I wanted to be a part of.

Tell us about an accomplishment that you’re proud of:

One of my proudest accomplishments has been my ongoing health and wellness journey, which has challenged me to set ambitious goals and stay committed to continuous improvement. A significant milestone was completing my first 7K race while carrying a weighted pack alongside my twin 8-year-old sons. Crossing the finish line together was not only a physical achievement but also a meaningful family experience that demonstrated the value of perseverance, discipline, and leading by example. It was rewarding to share this accomplishment with my sons and inspire them to embrace healthy habits, resilience, and a growth mindset.

What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?

One of my personal goals is to successfully summit Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, a challenge that would represent a significant personal and physical achievement. As my first 14,000-foot peak (14er), reaching the summit will require a high level of preparation, endurance, discipline, and mental resilience. Accomplishing this goal would not only mark an important outdoor milestone but also demonstrate my commitment to setting ambitious objectives and working consistently toward them!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

I am happiest spending quality time with my family, especially when I have the opportunity to teach my children new skills, share experiences, and help them explore the world around them. Watching them learn, grow, and develop their own strengths, character, and passions is incredibly rewarding. Seeing their progress and supporting them as they become confident, capable, and successful individuals brings me a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose. My family is my greatest source of motivation, and investing in their growth and future is one of the most meaningful aspects of my life.

What is a cause that you care about?

I care deeply about wildlife conservation through hunting and fishing, as these traditions help fund habitat preservation, wildlife management, and public land protection. I am also passionate about teaching the next generation to appreciate the outdoors, practice responsible stewardship, and understand the importance of conserving natural resources for the future.

    A Message From Dave:

I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this award recognizing our core value of being Caring. While my name may be attached to this recognition, it truly belongs to the many incredible people who have supported, encouraged, and inspired me along the way.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to my team, colleagues, and leadership. Thank you for believing in me, trusting me, and providing opportunities to grow and make a meaningful impact. I am fortunate to work alongside people who consistently demonstrate kindness, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping one another succeed.

What makes this award so meaningful is that it reflects a value that I hold close to my heart. Caring is about more than what we do; it is about how we show up for each other every day. It is about listening, supporting, encouraging, and building relationships that make a difference. I have always believed that people come first, and I am grateful to be part of an organization that shares that belief.

I genuinely love the people I work with and the business we serve. The relationships we build, the challenges we overcome together, and the impact we make as a team are what motivate me every day. Receiving this recognition is both a tremendous honor and a reminder of how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such remarkable individuals. Thank you for this award, and thank you for allowing me to be part of something so special!

    Congratulations, Dave!

Your kindness, supportive nature, and genuine care make Millennium a truly special place to work. Thank you for everything you do for our internal teams, our partners, and our clients—You’re “One in a MIL,” Dave!
