The GMP 10553 is a heavy-duty three sheave cable block. It supports and separates two or three cables on the suspension strand before they are lashed, so each cable stays in its own sheave until the aerial cable lasher binds them to the messenger. It is a core cable placing tool for aerial plant crews.

GMP states the three sheave block keeps up to three cables of 2 1/2 in. (63 mm) diameter or smaller separate until lashing, and is well suited to triplexing electrical cables, such as lashing up to three 750 MCM cables to a supporting strand.
