The AFL Fiber Cable (vendor part 8700-00-0198MR, Millennium part 520194) is a 3 m, 12-fiber single-mode fanout breaking out an MPO/APC male trunk connection into individual SC/APC connectors for cross-connect and equipment terminations. It lets inside plant techs land a high-density trunk cable directly onto discrete SC ports without a separate cassette. Splicing and inside plant crews use fanout assemblies like this to keep central office and headend terminations organized.
